What does it mean to be a Christian? Simply put, Christians are people who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ (learn more). Like many other Christian websites and organizations, we have a statement of faith. Our is based on three central truths:
- God is real
- Jesus is alive
- The Bible is true
God is real. God is Creator of all and exists in three persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is active in our everyday lives and desires to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us.
Jesus is alive. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived the perfect, sinless life and died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. He rose again, is the Head of the Church, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ we are saved.
The Bible is true. The Bible is the ultimate authority in our lives. It is God’s Word and the key to building a relationship with Him. Each person who puts their faith in Jesus Christ should seek to actively apply Biblical truth to their life. The Bible is the key to understanding our faith and is a road map for living our everyday lives.
