Christian music stars unite for Haiti relief album

Thirteen Christian music artists have untied to record 15 songs on the album “Healing 4 Haiti.” The compilation will be released next Wednesday, March 2, on iTunes under the Integrity Music label.

Michael W. Smith was responsible for gathering the artists for the effort in the wake of the Jan. 12 earthquake.

"What I saw while in Haiti is something we must keep in front of the minds and hearts of Americans,” Smith said.  "The recovery efforts are going to take a long, long time so we want do anything we can to raise awareness and to continue to support organizations doing good work in Haiti."

All net proceeds from the sale of this album will support relief efforts in Haiti including clean water, shelter, medical care and other critical aid from Samaritan's Purse.

Artists included on the album are Smith, Flyleaf, Israel Houghton, Mary Mary, DecembeRadio, Hawk Nelson, The Afters, Canton Jones, Lecrae, Kari Jobe, Carlos Whitaker, Lincoln Brewster and Jared Anderson.
