Something To Say - The Benefits of Social Networking

I've been blogging now off and on since October 2008, and for me, it's not just merely a avenue of self expression. It's a way of reaching out. I've got something to say!

But so do you!

I look forward to connecting with you and sharing with you. I eagerly wait for comments and replies. Most of us will never see each other face to face in person, but we build and establish online Christian fellowship with one another, much like the Early Christians did with Paul through letters in the New Testament. I love that!

Many of my friends and acquaintances don't understand the whole concept of online social networking: blogging, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Do you know someone who doesn't own a computer or has a computer but doesn't participate in social networking? Are they lonely?
Online social networking can be a lifeline to one who feels alone. I love getting comments, e-mails and messages throughout my day. They're like internet hugs. Online social networking offers support in unusual ways, connecting people with the outside world. Those connections remind us that we are not alone in our struggles.

I'm often in awe at how many people are going through the same thing or have been through what I'm going through.  Social networking often offers opportunities to encourage, love and support others just when they need it.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who take a moment to read this blog, and follow along with me on my journey.

Thank you for your comments. They've been a blessing.

There was a time when I thought nobody really cares. There's a million of us out here pouring our hearts and souls out on blogs through the world wide web. Would anybody care if I just disappeared?

Without your comments, e-mails and messages, I doubt I would continue on, but we all need inspiration.

We all need to know we are making a difference in this world.

We all need encouragement and support, each in our own way.

May we continue to grow and journey together. God, give me your eyes. Give us your eyes. We'll never truly know the impact we make on this world until Jesus' face we see.

Romans 15:4 (NIV) "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

I Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
