Christ in the Old Testament (Stumbling Stone)

And Christ will be a stumbling stone for so many. They just won’t be able to get past the thought of a personal Saviour. How sad is that.

“He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare” (See Isaiah 8:14).

Some of us get it. We understand that Christ is precious and we believe. Sadly, many do not.

“Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, ”A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.’ “They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for” (See 1 Peter 2:7–8).

Friends have you considered the Christ for yourself? There is no other way to heaven. I beseech you to chose him as your personal Saviour today. The time is short.

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”(See Romans 10:9-10)

Prayer- Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for the gift of eternal life and for your Holy Spirit who has come to live in me. Amen.
