What would you do if you lost your eye sight? I had to think about that just a few months ago, because it almost happened to me. I woke up one morning and I couldn’t see out of my left eye. I knew enough to rush to my optometrist. She promptly sent me to an ophthalmologist.
These specialists knew exactly how to treat my problem but even they were astounded when my eyes healed completely. They both even queried their own diagnosis.
The diagnosis was right and so was the prayer. My family and my church and even social media friends, lifted me in faithful prayer. They said they would pray and they did and God answered that prayer. And I can see.
Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. (James 5:16, MSG)
“The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply.
I doubt anyone prayed complicated, big word prayers or long wailing ones. It was more like this.
Prayer- Our Father in heaven, reveal who you are. Set the world right; Do what’s best— as above, so below. Keep us alive with three square meals. Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others. Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil. You’re in charge! You can do anything you want! You’re ablaze in beauty! And God, please help Brenda to regain her sight. Amen (From Matthew 6:9-13, MSG)
