By the time you read this, I expect to be a Great-Grandma. Still hard to believe that at my tender age of 29, this is possible. (Oh wait. I am writing a devotional and must tell the truth! I am slightly older than 29.)
New beginnings are a wonderful thing but they also bring new endings. As generations follow behind us, our generations diminish. That’s how the world works, whether you are a beast or a human. None of us stay on earth for ever. Quite frankly, I’ve come to see that truth with relief.
Old age has its draw backs for sure. However, we have so much to look forward to. Our time will become eternity with Christ. We’ll see loved ones again; meet folks we always wanted to meet here on earth. We will be free of death and sorrow.
Well, we will if we made a decision here on earth to start a personal relationship with Jesus. It’s never too late friends. A simple prayer is all it takes. Here’s how.
Let’s Pray- Dear Lord Jesus, I do believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross to pay the price for my sin.
I believe that you rose from the dead and that you’re alive right now.
Please come into my life. Forgive my sin. Make me a member of your family. I now turn from going my own way. I want you to be the center of my life.
Thank you for your gift of eternal life and for your Holy Spirit who has come to live in me.
