Don’t Mess With Me

Yes, I said that!  Don’t mess with old people. we didn’t get this way by being stupid! That sounds almost rude doesn’t it? But I want it clear between us right now!

I am old (well old-er!) but the better truth is this.

Don’t mess with me. I am a child of the King. God is my father. He loves me even more than I love myself. He loves me more than my parents did and he even loves me more than my dear husband Ron did. Believe me that is a lot of love.

Psalm 91 describes our security if we will trust in the Lord!

We are in the shelter and shadow of the Almighty God (verse 1) He is our refuge and our fortress, when we trust him. (verse 2) We are delivered from the snare of the trapper, from deadly pestilence (verse 3) Safe under his wings. (verse 4) He is faithful to us (verse 4)

We need not fear night terrors or arrows or pestilence or destruction, night or day! (verse 5-6) We might be in a big battle but he will care for us. (verse 7) All this only because we made the Lord our refuge from evil and plagues (verse 9-10)

His angels guard us. We will face impossible things and yet… (verse 11-13) because we love him…

“Because we love God, he promises us this.

Therefore, I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.  “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and honor him. “With long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.” (Psalm 91 14-16, NASB)

Friends, what are you waiting for? Today is the day of your salvation.

Prayer- Lord, open hearts that are closed to your love. Their lives depend on it. Amen.
