This list struck home with me, because I struggle with them! Perhaps you identify!
- Clutter. Some say that they can find anything in the midst of their clutter, but why should they? We get used to working in a mess, but mess drains our energy, creativity and fresh thinking. We try to ignore it, but it’s still there and that clutter eventually takes over. Take small steps every day to clear for 15 minutes at least.
- Procrastination – Is your home full of uncompleted bits and pieces? A painting not finished, a closet half -tidied, a table cluttered? Finish what you start. Mark Twain said, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day. And if you have to eat two frogs eat the biggest one first.” This means take on the worst task of your day first and after that, the day is an easy run.
- Living without limits- We spend too much, eat too much, work too much and think too much. What are your ‘too much’ things? Do we even realize that we hurry out time with God? We scramble through our three chapters a day and take nothing in. Try writing out scripture or writing your prayers. It slows you down. Live within limits that you can
Again, I say…
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, NIV)
