Drink On

It is common here for restaurants to offer an ‘all you can drink’ policy for soft drinks, tea or coffee.

The question arises then about how much you can drink. Do you know the more you drink the less you can eat? That’s why they make such an offer. It is cheaper then feeding you!

The same is true about our life with Jesus. How much can you drink?

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39, NIV)

The more we drink of Christ, the fuller we are with the Holy Spirit, the less we will want to eat of sin.

Prayer- Lord, give us a great thirst for the Christ, the Holy Spirit, the new life in you! Amen.
