Dwell on These

As you know, I collect quotes that really speak to me. I trust you will read and meditate on these truths.

Holocaust survivor and psychiatrist Victor Frankl said, “Ever more people today have the means to live, but no meaning to live for.”

“We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country.” C.S. Lewis

“If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King ever be considered a sacrifice?” David Livingston

“The key to godliness is not more knowledge but more obedience.” Woodrow Kroll

“We are called to live Coram Deo, defined as: before the presence of God, under the authority of God and to the glory of God.” R.C. Sproul

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. (Matthew 25:40, NIV)

All of these are honest thoughts about service and obedience and service. Where do you need to concentrate?

Prayer- Lord, we hear words but never act on them. Burn these truths into our hearts so that we might remember and be more than we are. Amen.
