Every Verse

Do you ever get a jolt from God every now and then? You’ve read the Bible a dozen times and feel you know it line by line…until God points out something you never noticed before.

That’s what happened to me today. I read Luke chapter one just like I always have but this sentence jumped out at me.

You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”(Luke 1:45, NLT)

They are part of Elizabeth’s words to Mary, the mother of Christ. How have we missed them all these years?

You are blessed–BECAUSE YOU BELIEVED–That the Lord would do what he said!

Seriously; that’s all there is to it?

Yes!

Then let’s do it!

What has God told you? Believe it! Expect it! Relish in it and trust him to do just that!

Prayer – Father God, if we ever again we waver in our faith, our belief that you can do as you say…remind us till we forget it no more…to BELIEVE!  Amen!
