Are you offended at God because He didn’t answer prayer the way you intended? As I look back on my own life I find that He never does! When I needed a car, my parents showed up with one almost identical to mine. It irritated me no end, until I inherited it.
I wanted God to heal Ron. We did all the right things to that end, even getting anointed with oil.
James 5:14- Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (KJV).
Some would say that God failed us, but I don’t think so.
James 5:15- And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (KJV).
The Lord saved Ron. He did raise him up…into heaven and his sins are forgiven.
Like I said, God hardly ever seems to answer our prayers in the way we expect, but his answers are always right and true and good for us, even when it doesn’t seem like it at the time.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for answering our prayers with your wisdom instead of ours. Amen.
