Yes, God does have a big mouth, when he speaks into your heart what you would rather not hear. It seemed right and good to give my friend 100.00. I felt like it was God’s word to me. She was in a hard place and I had some extra cash. BUT when I went to get the cash, a rumble twigged into my heart. I handed her 250.00 instead. Why? Because God has a big mouth! She needed, I had. God desired it.
What do you do when God speaks into your heart like “Don’t you dare put that money back into your purse?”
Or when he says, “Speak to that homeless person with grace. Take them for a meal.”
Or when he says, “Stop yelling at your children right now.”
Or when he says,” You do not need that doughnut.”
God’s big mouth is open so that: 1. We will listen. 2. We will obey. 3. We will see changed lives.
Do not shut the door on God’s big mouth. He speaks for our good, always. Make sure your listening ears are big and tuned in.
Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance.
(Proverbs 1:5, NLT)
