Heart-y God

I just found my late husband’s info about heart attacks, heart damage, and recovery. It’s all very wise, but none of it refers to the spiritual heart. God speaks of it often.

  • He prefers a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22)
  • A willing heart (Exodus 35:5b)
  • A melodic heart (Ephesians 5:19)
  • A believing heart (Romans 10:9)

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9, AMP)

The Bible heart list goes on and on, and God, who created the list, gives us the grace to get the right kind.

Prayer – Dear wonderful God, we thank you for your list of heart requirements and for the availability of just the one we need. We praise you! Amen.
