How Weird

What a story!

And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. (Daniel 1:2, NIV)

Who does that? Who puts their enemies’ ‘gods’ into a collection with their own? Who does that? Well, Nebuchadnezzar apparently did…and unfortunately, some of us do as well.

What things get mixed in with our God? How Weird! I’ll leave some blank space here while you think about that. Only you know the honest answer to this. Consider that our body is God’s temple. What do we house there that we should not? (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV)
