In the Chair

Are you one of those who only show up in church for Christmas and Easter? Do you feel disconnected from your church, your faith? It might be because you haven’t been sitting in that church pew/ chair often enough.

When we think that all we are doing is filling a seat on Sunday morning, remember that when we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour, he sends us the Holy Spirit to live in us. We will never be alone again. Fellow believers share that same spirit and welcome association.

We have a constant relationship with him…even on our worst days and in our worst circumstances. Even when we feel very alone…he is our constant companion. God is enough. God has us wherever we are and wherever we are, —Emmanuel—God is with us.

If all we can do is sit in a chair…It is enough for God. However, we have to at least sit in the pew/chair. It’s not the only place you can hear from God but it is one of the best.

Let God speak to you. Find yourself again, with your church family. Let God speak to you.

When he wants something more of you he will tell you so…because God is faithful 100% and when you sit in the chair and listen, you will find out things like that for yourself.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26, KJV)

Prayer- God, make obvious time breaks in our holiday days to fit you in. Amen.
