Light in the Lord

Light has many meanings of course, but this verse spoke to me when I needed a promise of success in my weight loss struggles.

For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light. (Ephesians 5:8, AMP)

I checked out the meaning of light to be sure.

Light- of little weight, not heavy.

Light-something that makes vision possible.

Light- waves that carry energy from one place to another

What does this prove? This shows that the Lord speaks to all of us in different ways. I could ask ten people to read the same scripture and each one of them would get a different meaning according to their need. Always trust God’s promises.

“My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.   (2 Peter 1:3)

Let’s not poke our friends with our inexperience. When God tells them something through scripture, let God speak.
