Living the Hard

It’s hard to write a best seller. It’s hard to contract for three novels a year.

It’s hard to be poor.   It’s hard to balance a checkbook with multiple zeros.

It’s hard to birth a baby. It’s hard to lose one.

It’s hard to get the doctor’s diagnosis. It’s hard to live a healthy life style.

It’s hard to pay the rent. It’s hard to keep up a mortgage.

It’s hard to write an exam. It’s hard to get a good job without a degree.

It’s hard to serve the Lord. It is hard to suffer in Hell.

Oh, my friends. We all choose our hard. Which ones will you choose?

Many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” (John 6:60, NIV)
