Can you pick out the actions of a blessed person in the verses below? Hint? I’ll mark them for you.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. (Psalm 1:1)

Did you spot them? He walks, lives, stands and sits like everyone does BUT he never listens to the advice of the ungodly; nor does he hang out with them and he certainly doesn’t let down his guard wherever they gather together.

Dare we look at where we walk, live, stand and sit and who we meet there?

And all the while this blessed man is on the move, he delights and desires the law of the Lord and he meditates on it day and night. (Psalm 1:2)
