No Extra Day

Sorry folks. This ends February. If you were looking for February 29 and a day to catch up, I am sorry. February ends at twelve pm today. Like all ‘good’ things, February must come to an end.

Confess it now. We use it cruelly; only as something to endure until spring arrives. Yes we often do, just as we ‘endure’ our troubles and try to pray them away.

At first that is what I did with my broken arm. I wanted it gone, gone and more gone. However it wouldn’t move. My sling and I were a number, dancing through life, each with a bad dance partner.

Until I learned to see the sling as a comforting supporting partner, we tangoed in separate directions. Once I accepted it, it accepted me. Now I miss the dear little thing,
Embrace your sorrow, friends. Dance the waltz of life together as long as God allows; that way you will enjoy the later more than you ever thought you would. Imagine the anguish of the Luke 15 father. All that is forgotten for his son is coming home.
So he got up and came to his [own] father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness [for him]; and he ran and embraced him and kissed him [fervently]. (Luke 15:20, AMP)

Prayer- Lord give us the grace to get in step even with our perceived bad moments so that we might enjoy the outcome. Amen.
