I didn’t get to travel much this summer but I guess my heart is in travelling mode. I thought about camping with God and now yachting comes to mind. The definition of a yacht is a sailboat that has living quarters and is used for cruising or racing.
Why, that’s a clear definition of Noah’s ark, don’t you think? He raced against time to build it and took the family on its maiden voyage. He packed it with two of everything. I wonder if that included the food.
You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”(Genesis 6:21, NIV)
To get on Noah’s ark, you had to be righteous. That probably doesn’t apply to today’s ocean liners, although it does apply if we want to go to heaven. That’s why we ask Christ to forgive our sins and come into our life.
The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. (Genesis 7:1, NIV)
Prayer – God, thank you for Christ who changed our eternity forever. Amen.
