On To The Light

I dreaded December 22 this past year for it is the darkest day of the year. Then December 23 happened and we began the long journey into the longer days of summer. That’s right.
The light is working its way toward us!

The last word my husband heard from the Lord was this. Go toward the light. We took it to mean ‘Set your heart on the light. The Lord is coming.’ And he did, for Ron, shortly after that.

Now your life might seem full of darkness at this point. Everything seems to be going wrong. The Christmas charge card bill just arrived. The family has the flu. You struggle for a job. Have no fear. The light is still on.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12, NIV)

The light, the Christ is always with you and is lighting up your world more every day.

Prayer-Father God, thank you for the light of the world, your son, Jesus. Amen.
