Peaceful Pandemics

The news reports terrifying stories of death and destruction. We listen. We take these thoughts into our minds and then our hearts.

We react with complete terror, never leaving our home or else we live with wild abandon, paying no attention to government health guidelines.

When we live or proclaim untruths, other people are affected. If I lockdown in my house, someone is buying my groceries for me. That puts them at risk.

If I won’t quarantine as asked, others might die. I do not want to be responsible for the deaths of others, or even myself.

How can I possible explain either one to God when he calls me into heaven?

Do we profess to be Christians? Then we have a responsibility to pray, not cause unrest among the masses.

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, this is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

(Isaiah 30:21, AMPC)
