I talk too much. Mostly I override others because I am so bored with their conversation and I just want them to get their words out, stop repeating themselves and move on! Do you have this same bad habit?
I do notice it is not the most popular bad habit to have. Others want to get their thoughts out too. So what if it takes then twenty minutes to say what I can presume to say in two?
Do you have any bad habits? Aha! I thought not. Don’t we all think we are perfect? Yes we do.
Hear God’s wisdom on the trait of perfection.
You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:8, AMPC)
And the best understanding of perfect is found in Romans 12:2.
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Romans 12:2, AMPC)
Prayer- Lord you are the only one who is good and perfect. (From Matthew 19:17) We are but a shadow of your perfect self. Help us as we aim for the goal you set for us. Amen.
