Grass is like everything else. It won’t grow unless you plant it. When grass doesn’t grow the weeds will.
What are we planting in our prayer plot? Are we planting seeds of hope and joy and thanksgiving? Or are we planting that which is full of complaining, whining and dissatisfaction?
Does God recognize our voice when it’s full of whining or does he love the sweet sound of our musical praise tones?
I expect since he is God and he loves us no matter what. The sounds he hears and recognizes are the same tones you hear when your child laughs, cries or whines. There is something about the person you love and what you hear when they call out.
I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. (Psalm 3:4, NIV)
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. (Psalm 17:6, NIV)
God doesn’t say call only to me when you are smiling and happy. Calling on God has no condition at all, except the calling, so plant grass folks…plant grass in our prayer life. It is the praying that plants, so plant on.
Prayer- Lord, we bless your name and thank you for listening to us no matter our tone. Amen.
