Remember the Before

Yes, remember the before, but don’t dwell in it!  Before we came to know Jesus, our lives were a mess. 

When we thought we couldn’t stand it another second, Jesus came into our lives and led us to freedom. 

We were changed almost beyond belief.

Look back. Remember what you were before Christ came into your life. Hard to believe, isn’t it! 

Now think of where you are now. What attitudes and habits have dropped from your life, with the help and encouragement of the Holy Spirit? 

What new paths lie before you that were not open to you before?

What family relationships have improved?

It seems like we are now living in a dream world. We are so changed. Our life is so changed.

Peter had the same problem. He was in prison and suddenly…

And Peter went out following him, and he was not conscious that what was apparently being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

Then Peter came to himself and said, Now I really know and am sure that the Lord has sent His angel and delivered me from the hand of Herod. (Acts 12:9,11a)

Amen, God for all the deliverances to date and more to come!
