Remembrance Day

Who did you remember yesterday? Technically, the focus is on those fallen in combat during all the past wars. We sometimes add in all our other losses. Children, spouses, parents, and many others fill up our remembrance minds.

Loss is a terrible thing. We cling to the hope that those who have gone before us are with God now and we hope someday to be with them once more.

The Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honoured his name. (From Malachi 3:16, NIV)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13, NIV)

Prayer – Lord, again we remember with thanks all those who have gone before us into your waiting arms. Amen
