The preacher asked the congregation what questions they would like to ask God. The questions came fast and furiously. I jotted down some for you to read.
Is it ok to get a tattoo? Do I have to tithe? Is it ok to live with my boyfriend? Do I have to look after my Mom?
I wanted to jump to my feet and scream…”READ THE BOOK!!!!! THE ANSWERS ARE IN THE BOOK!!”
Why is it that we willingly read work manuals that out date in no time but won’t read the book that will sustain us through our entire life?
And just in case you haven’t read the book either, here’s where you can find the answers to those questions.
Leviticus 19:28b-Don’t tattoo yourselves. I am God. (MSG)
Malachi 3:8- Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings (NIV).
1 Corinthians 7:9-But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion (NIV).
Matthew 15:4a-For God commanded saying, Honour thy father and mother (KJV).
Prayer: Lord how ever do you put up with us? Butt into our lives; drive us to your word so that we realize who you are and what you say! In Christ. Amen.
