My mother-in-law taught me to start a crochet pattern by working the first round into an open loop, then when you had all the necessary stitches in, and only then… to tie off the knot. The result was always a just right size loop in the center, not too big as to be sloppy and not too tiny to be ripped out.
This might sound strange to you but the truth is that the base makes all the difference to the look of a finished product. Think of a poorly constructed building base or a bad egg in a cake batter. The only disaster awaits the outcome of the final product.
What is your base? Do you know the one true Saviour that died for your sins and rose from the dead? That is the only base solid enough to sustain your life in all its twists and turns, fears and rejections. Stay tuned for more information on the following devotionals.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. (Psalm 40:2, NIV)
Prayer- Teach me, Lord, the ways of the Christ and your plan for my salvation and eternal life. Amen.
