Found myself mindlessly humming this song today. Originally Dean Martin made it popular; Michael Buble recently brought it back to life.
‘You're nobody 'til somebody loves you
You're nobody 'til somebody cares.’
My first thought was “Ron is gone and nobody loves me anymore.” Then I gave my head a shake. I have loving family members, dear friends and neighbors. Of course somebody loves me! And what if they didn’t? I remembered God, who loves every single one of us, even me. Why, He loved us before we were even born! And I said a grateful prayer of thanks.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:8-10, NIV)
Prayer- Oh what great love you lavish on us, Father, that we should be called your children! Amen. (From 1 John 3:1)
