Sound of Sin

Have you ever been in a quiet, peaceful restaurant, having a quiet, peaceful dinner when a two-year-old takes to screaming?  All peace disappears, especially for the parents, and everyone knows and looks at who is doing the shrieking! Yikes!

In these verses, the Lord describes sin as shrieking.

And the Lord said, because the shriek [of the sins] of Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is exceedingly grievous, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether [as vilely and wickedly] as is the cry of it which has come to Me; (Genesis 18:20-21a, AMP)

Imagine the quiet peace of heaven and then you (or I) commit a dreadful/ grievous sin and the cries of that sin, the shrieks of it echo into the heavens. And the Lord comes down to look! And all of heaven is looking …AT YOU/ME!

Oh the shame of it, the absolute shame of it.

Until we remember that if we know Jesus as our personal Saviour, we can be forgiven.

In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins. (Colossians 1:14, AMP)

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is he who has forgiveness of his transgression continually exercised upon him, whose sin is covered. (Psalm 32:1, AMP)

Prayer- And so Dear Lord, we ask and you forgive and heaven is restored to its rightful peaceful; order once again. Amen.
