What does tithing mean?

Tithe- Begin with the first 10% of your resources. Think about whether you want God to bless your gross income or the net. (Matthew 23:23)

Invest- your money and your energy in Kingdom building. (Matthew 6:21)

Talents- Use your talents to grow God’s kingdom. (1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 12:5, 27)

Home-Take an holistic approach to family, ministry and work. (Joshua 24:15, Deuteronomy 6)

Educate yourself. Learn God’s plan and promise for our life. (2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 8:10-11)

Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year.(Deuteronomy 14:22, NIV)

Prayer-Lord, give us the courage to be obedient in our tithing as in the rest of our life with you. Amen.
