The Shining

Light shines in darkness, because what else could it shine in?

The word shining caught my eye today and I checked it out in the MSG version of scripture.

God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, shining on those in the darkness

Luke 1:67-79

As you have the light, believe in the light. Then the light will be within you, and shining through your lives. You’ll be children of light.”

From John 12:35-36

You’ve got my feet on the life-path, with your face shining sun-joy all around.

Acts 2:28b

He would be the first rays of God’s daylight shining on people far and near, people both godless and God-fearing.

Acts 26:23

If that makeshift arrangement impressed us, how much more this brightly shining government installed for eternity?

Acts 3:17

The shining of God, the Master, is all the light anyone needs. And they will rule with him age after age after age.

Revelation 19:8

Prayer- Lord, bless your name for the shining. Help us to shine with you here and in glory. Amen.
