Thoughts for Your Day

Stars in your crown or stars on the walk of fame? Which is your preference??

“I have never allowed my schooling to interfere with my education.” – Mark Twain

“Laughter rises out of tragedy, when you need it the most, and rewards you for your courage.” – Erma Bombeck

“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” – Bill Gates

“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” – Albert Einstein

“I’m not the smartest fellow in the world, but I can sure pick smart colleagues.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

“I never cut class. I loved getting A’s, I liked being smart. I liked being on time. I thought being smart is cooler than anything in the world.” – Michelle Obama

You can call Jesus a crutch if you like, but those of us who are crippled need a crutch.

The comedy line “I didn’t come here to be made sport of”—possibly originated with Jesus!

Then Jesus took the Twelve off to the side and said, “Listen carefully. We’re on our way up to Jerusalem. Everything written in the Prophets about the Son of Man will take place. He will be handed over to the Romans, jeered at, made sport of, and spit on. Then, after giving him the third degree, they will kill him. In three days he will rise, alive.” But they didn’t get it, could make neither heads nor tails of what he was talking about. (Luke 18:31-34, MSG)

I hope you get it. All this happened to Jesus for your sake and mine.

Prayer – Thank you Lord for all you did and still do for us. Amen
