Tight Money

We are in the tight money season of the year. Spending increases but income does not. There are parties to buy food for; gifts to give and charities need more money than usual. What do we do?

Generally we tighten up our purse strings and stop giving as much as possible. We do it because we are afraid that we won’t have enough. Let me remind you of some truths. You will believe and act on them depending on whether or not you trust and obey God 100% or not.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ (Acts 20:35, NIV)

The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.

The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. (Proverbs 11:24-25, MSG

Prayer- Lord may we be true to you and to ourselves this Christmas season by honoring and trusting you even with our money! Amen.
