Tomorrow, Tomorrow! Yes TOMORROW is the first day of spring and I am ready for it! Mild breezes, bright days, sunshine galore and warm, warm; warm… well maybe not immediately but soon, SOON!
Did you ever long for something that seemed to take forever? Like Christmas when you are six years old, or special meals or school to start in the fall, summer holidays when school is over?
Even now I find myself doing that, even though God tells us not to worry about tomorrow
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34, NIV)
I am not really worrying about tomorrow, just longing for it. There is a difference isn’t there?
Do you know what I am really longing for though? I am longing for heaven, that wonderful day when I get to go to heaven.
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, 2 Corinthians 5:1-2, NIV)
Prayer – Thank you, God that we can yearn for heaven while lingering here on earth. Amen
