Too Much Trouble

It’s too much trouble to go to the beach.
We’ll wait for another day;
When the floors are scrubbed
And the clothes are washed
And everything’s put away.

And then one day, my work was done.
“Let’s go to the beach”, I said.
And I looked outside
But the wind was cold
And summer’s leaves were red.

And I looked around
For those golden heads
But everyone had flown,
And now I know if I go to the beach
I go to the beach alone. (Author unknown)

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”(John 13:34-35, NLT)

How does your family need to experience your love today?

Prayer- Father God, don’t let us get so caught up in work that we forget relationships. Amen.
