There was a time I felt a day wasted if I didn’t fill every moment. This broken arm changed all that for me. I have learned that sitting quietly in a chair, makes a full day for me. Rest is a big part of my wellness treatment.
I learned that haste makes waste. That haste is the very reason I fell in the first place.
Haste makes waste. (See Proverbs 19:2, MSG)
“Gather the leftovers so nothing is wasted.” (See John 6:12-13, MSG)
I have had to do this often with gratitude.
There is no time to waste, so don’t complicate your lives unnecessarily. (See 1 Corinthians 7:29-31, MSG)
I have had to simplify on purpose.
Don’t waste your time on useless work…. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. (Ephesians 5:11-16, MSG) Vacuuming I find will wait till tomorrow and a willing visitor!
Nothing you do for him (Christ) is a waste of time or effort. (See 1 Corinthians 15:58, AMP)
That includes prayer and quiet refection.
Prayer-Lord, help us not to waste any of our time in business. Amen.
