This is the title of Josh Groban’s song but also the truth of the Gospel. God lifts us because we are loved. He asks us not to give up, because we are loved. He looks for us because we are loved and he hears us because we are loved.
Most of all, he came to earth as a baby, died on the cross for us and rose from the dead for us, just because we are loved. Remember?
He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. (Luke 2:5-7, NIV)
Prayer – Father God we take it all for granted; your care for us and your searching for us and loving us. Though we seldom show it, we are grateful. Amen
