As a life- long weight loss expert, I know all about scales. Of course, any scale first demands that you prepare by not eating or drinking anything and also that you weigh naked. (Difficult in a weight loss studio!)
The bathroom scales can work to our advantage if we lean back on our heels or jiggle a bit till a more favorable number comes up.
Then we have the upright sort, often found in a doctor’s office. They tend to be unbalanced, so make sure they weigh true. Then we can claim medical problems like salt intake and high blood pressure that cause that dreaded number.
Finally, there is the digital type. Thankfully, their batteries might die, which prevents us having to weigh at all.
Fool the scale as much as you like. This scale will not oblige.
For the Lord is the God of knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed. (I Samuel 2:3).
The Lord weighs the spirits, or the motives and attitudes of people (Proverbs 16:2).
