“Why did God give us teeth?” asked the little one. She giggled and then shouted her answer before I could get a word in. “To hold our lips out!” she giggled some more.
She does have a point. Lately, it’s very fashionable not to use our teeth. Current food fashion indicates that we blend everything and ‘smoothie’ our way through our meals.
I wonder what Paul would have made of that!
I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Prayer- Lord, give us the courage to take a bite out of life, instead of slobbering it to death. Amen!?
