Andrew, Nathaniel, Philip and Peter most likely were ordinary children: nuisance toddlers and teenagers that wiggled and made smart-alec comments all the way through the service.
Someone must have taken them to synagogue, and youth group, taught lessons… How else would the disciples know these things?

For zeal for your house consumes me and the insults of those who insult you fall on me (Psalm 69:9, NIV).
Someone started them on the right road so that when their eyes opened to Jesus, they had some background knowledge
Never discount your efforts with wiggly children on Christ’s behalf.
