Your Choice

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle. Always be kind. You have the power to choose a kind word or a mean one.

You have the power to choose a handshake or a fist; a kind deed or a mean one.

Your choices determine bitter cruelty or your pleasant responses.

Your mouth is governed by your heart of pleasant words and smiles or life changing ugliness.

You have the choice to make a difference in the lives of others.

Will they be happy you showed up or anxious to see you leave?

If you won’t do it for yourself, consider your children. Don’t they deserve and have the right to expect good parenting examples from you?

I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live.

(Deuteronomy 30:19, MSG)
