Your Favourite Cobbler

I like to try new recipes, but ones with twenty ingredients make my head ache. When I found this one, I knew it was for me. (and maybe you too!)  Let me know what you think of it.

Your Favourite Cobbler will need 3-4 cups of frozen mixed fruit, a large cake mix and a can of ginger ale. Of course you will use your favourite everythings. Mixed berries and white cake mix, apples and spice cake mix, cherries and chocolate cake mix. You get the idea.

Put the fruit in a large greased baking dish (large casserole or 9 x 13 pan), add the dry cake mix and then pour the pop over top. Don’t stir anything. Bake at 350° F for 40-45 minutes. Eat!

You have just made a cobbler–that is a baked dessert with a soft crust. But a cobbler is also one who makes or repairs shoes. It is one of God’s many talents. This is how the Israelites made out with God as their cobbler over 40 years in the wilderness.

I have led you in the wilderness forty years; your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. (Deuteronomy 29:5, AMP)

Prayer – Father, oh Father of everything, knower of all things, including our needs, we thank you for your provision  today. In Jesus’ name. Amen
