I told my friend Phyllis that when God's doing His thing you don't have to do hardly anything.
She wrote the following lines in reply:
We can't manipulate God's hand, so stand back and watch him work in our life; then accept his workings.
Be Still and Know that He is God.
We can't do it on our own so be still and let Him work His work.
Take a breath and let him move and grow you into all He is calling you to be.
Don't try so hard to reach your expected outcome.
He is the Creator! Watch what he creates in us!
May God work in and through us to bring His marvelous work to fruition.
He wants to give us a clean heart, healing, restoring and so much more.
Isaiah 26:3-4-You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock (NSV).
Prayer: Lord we so willingly accept your miracles on behalf of another. Remind us that we have our own miracle; Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27b). Amen.
