Toxic Terrors

The itching started even before she got to the theatre. By the end of the evening, she was in agony. It turns out that she was allergic to the nylon thread that held her lovely new dress together.
Nylon thread sparked a toxic reaction for my friend. Some people are toxic nylon. No matter what you do or say, they spark, ready to ignite. Do they want a quarrel? Want their own way? Think they are better than you? Who knows? Their goal is to beat you down, and triumph over you in some way. They only feel powerful when they destroy someone else. They are the now adult play ground bullies of our youth.
Jesus dealt with bullies every day. They talked behind his back.
Matthew 9:11-And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [pre-eminently] sinful? (AMP).
They lied about him.
Matthew 9:34- But the Pharisees said, He drives out demons through and with the help of the prince of demons. (AMP)
They only attacked in groups.
Matthew 12:38-Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, Teacher, we desire to see a sign or miracle from You [proving that You are what You claim to be] (AMP).
And Jesus paid them no mind but went on about his business.
Matthew 15:14- Let them alone and disregard them; they are blind guides and teachers. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a ditch. (AMP).
Prayer: Lord, thanks showing us how to deal with our toxic terrors…and Lord, help us never to be one. Amen.
