Peculiar Pairings

Chick peas (legumes) mixed with corn (grain) make a complete protein.
Walt Disney was afraid of mice (but created Mickey.)
Mailing a letter (licking a stamp will burn 1/10 of a calorie.)
Donkeys and death (they apparently kill more people per year than plane crashes/shark attacks)
A piece of paper folded in half 7 times (because you can’t fold it more than that.)
Dust particles and dead skin (most dust is said to be dead skin particles).
Apples and caffeine (carbohydrates in the apple work in a very similar way on the body).
The Bible has its own peculiar pairings. Take Barnabas, John Mark and Paul, for instance.
Acts 15:37-38-And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work (KJV).
Paul certainly had his reasons. John Mark didn’t measure up the first time around (Acts 13:13).
The resulting quarrel broke up the partnership. Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus (Acts 15:39).
It seems that Paul forgot that Barnabas was a great judge of character.
Acts 9:26-27a- Andwhen Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles (KJV).
Everyone deserves a second chance. After all, Christ gave us one.
