Yes it is only August but a few months from now, the white stuff will blanket the land. Blizzards will coat the skies. We’ll shiver and shrug on our long underwear and pray for spring weather.
What makes us think that spring will be warmer? Consider that the Iditarod dog sled race runs in Alaska in spring. Teams race through blizzards, whiteouts, sub-zero temperatures and gale-force winds. Wind chills may reach −100 °F (−73 °C)!
According to God; temperatures only matter if they are ours.
Revelation 3:14-16- And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Matthew 24:12-13 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved (NKJV).
Prayer: Lord, heat us to boiling for Christ so that we may be those who endure till the end. Amen.
