Union Rags

Why did Phyllis M. Wyeth sell her horse, Union Rags as a yearling, but buy him back a few months later?
“I had a dream,” said Phyllis Wyeth. “I knew he would be a good horse, and I knew Michael could do it. He made my dream come true.”
Ms. Wyeth loved that horse when no one else did. Well, everyone loves Union Rags now because that horse just won the Belmont Stakes.
Just as Ms. Wyeth saw the value of an unproven horse, God sees the potential in us. He showed that by paying a huge price for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:7 - But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us (AMP).
Now it is up to us to recognize our own value in Christ because we really are the beloved of God! That means that we are being eternally loved, overwhelmingly valued, and endlessly dear.
Do we really get what this means? We are being continually and eternally loved by the Creator of the Universe! We are overwhelmingly valued and endlessly dear to Him. All we need to do is believe that.
Prayer: Lord, help us truly understand and believe. In Christ’s name. Amen.
