If Only

Michael Bull Roberts says that life would be grand if it only came with REW, PLAY, PAUSE and STOP.
Wait a minute! It does! Forgiveness lets us REWIND a lot of relationships into a fresh start. We PLAY if we live in the present moment and stop longing for what used to be. PAUSE!? Well, we can all take a turn at that. What if we just sat down and did nothing, (and I mean nothing!) for ten minutes this afternoon? Oh, wait. Is that STOP?
No matter. We can live our life differently if we want to. First we have to choose to do that and secondly, we can ask for strength to do just that. If we don’t, I guess we are doomed to live in the ‘if only’ when help is just a whispered prayer away. After all, isn’t faith just ‘Forwarding All Issues To heaven?’
Psalm 3:4-With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (AMP)
Psalm 84:8-O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (AMP)
Prayer: Lord God, help us remember that you died so that we wouldn’t need to live our life in ‘if only.’ Thanks, God. Amen.
